The Voice of Virginia’s Sheriffs & Deputies

Sheriffs Day at the Capitol has been RESCHEDULED for Tuesday, February 11, 2014.

Sheriffs and deputy sheriffs are requested to attend the General Assembly to discuss with legislators the VSA’s legislative efforts, focusing on pay initiatives, mental health, and other pending issues that may affect sheriffs’ offices.

On that Tuesday, the plan is for all sheriffs and deputies attending (in uniform please) to gather at 9:00 a.m. for a legislative briefing at the Richmond Marriott Downtown in Salons GHI, located at 500 E. Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23219. There will be a continental breakfast available beginning at 8:00 a.m.

After the meeting, each of the sheriffs and their staff should head over to the General Assembly Building to visit with their members of the House of Delegates and the Senate to discuss the VSA’s legislative efforts.

Discounted parking coupons will be provided to any sheriffs or staff that park at the 5th and Marshall Garage. Parking will cost $8.50 at that garage (see the map HERE).
