Danville Sheriff Mike Mondul has selected Jeffrey Williams Jr. and Taylor Hayden for Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute scholarships. Sheriff Mondul presented Jeffrey and Taylor each with a check for $1,000 payable to Averett University, where both students are pursuing degrees in criminal justice. The VSI Scholarship Program was established to provide an opportunity for young people across Virginia to pursue an educational curriculum in law enforcement or criminal justice while attending a Virginia college or university.
