The Virginia Sheriffs’ Association expresses its condolences to the Henrico County Sheriff’s Office and family of Deputy Gabriel T. Pearce who lost his life on Thursday. On June 26, 2014 Deputy Pearce was involved a single vehicle accident in his personal vehicle.
Deputy Pearce participated in the 3rd Summer Student Academy as a VCU student. He graduated in August of 2013 and began working part-time as a Deputy Sheriff at Henrico Jail West. In April of 2014, he became a full time deputy. He graduated from VCU in May of 2014 with a B.A. in Homeland Security along with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. Deputy Pearce is highly revered by his peers and is characterized by his exemplary leadership skills.
Visitation
The visitation on Sunday, June 29,2014 at Bennett Funeral Home’s West Chapel in Glen Allen (11020 W. Broad Street Glen Allen, VA 23060) from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Memorial Service
The service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at Berea Baptist Church (15475 Ashland Road, Rockville, VA 23146).
