The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office assisted O.B. Gates Elementary School with the school’s ‘Bike 2 School’ event on September 23. Approximately 200 people – students, parents, faculty and others – participated in the ride/walk that started in the Chesterfield County Government Center Complex and finished at the elementary school just a short distance down the road. The participants were able to use sidewalks for the majority of the ride, and deputies were placed at roadways to allow them to get to school safely.
