Sheriff Leonard, deputies show support for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office had two of their vehicles detailed to show their support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month during October with the pink “Fight Like a Girl” logo. Rick Halder at Vital Signs of Chester, Inc. (804-748-3251) donated the labor and materials for the project. The sheriff’s office was also able to change the lighting in the front of the county’s main courthouse to pink. The pink lighting will continue throughout the month of October.  Sheriff Leonard also approved deputies to wear special pink badges throughout the month of October. Deputies ordered and paid for the badges themselves with a portion of the proceeds from the sales being donated towards breast cancer research.
