chesterfield-28th-basic-class-photoOn November 18, 2016 the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office held graduation festivities for members of its 28th Basic Academy. These 21 deputies, who began their six month journey on May 26, 2016, will now join this premiere organization of 300 men and women to begin their careers at the Chesterfield County Jail, which sees an average of 14,000 inmates come through every year. Their experience, teamwork, diversity and eagerness to serve the citizens of Chesterfield County will be readily seen in the daily performance of their duties.

The Chesterfield Sheriff’s Office’s 29th Basic Academy is already scheduled to begin on January 3, 2017. Although the upcoming academy has already been set, applications are now being accepted for an April 2017 Basic Academy. Anyone interested in becoming a deputy and team member in the Hanover organization should apply online at http://www.chesterfield.gov/careers/.
