Hampton deputies volunteer for senior shopping

Sheriff B.J. Roberts sponsored the Hampton Sheriff’s Office’s 17th annual shopping trip for senior citizens. Many seniors don’t have transportation and are uncomfortable shopping alone during the busy holiday season. The sheriff’s transport bus provided the transportation and deputies volunteered to escort the senior group, carry packages and help to make those tough shopping decisions. Deputies and seniors had a joyous time shopping and fellowshipping for a couple of hours. Afterwards, Sheriff B.J. Roberts treated them all to a complimentary buffet lunch.
