Franklin deputy completes National Registry Emergency Medical Technician exam

Franklin County Deputy Megan Patterson

Franklin County Deputy Megan Patterson recently completed her National Registry Emergency Medical Technician exam. Before Deputy Patterson could take the exam, she attended an EMT course through Franklin County Public Safety. The course lasted from August 2016 through December 2016. Upon completion of the course Megan also took the Psychomotor Skills Testing which included three hands on scenarios. The scenarios consisted of a trauma patient, a medical patient and a random skill. Deputy Patterson now holds a National EMS Certification at the Emergency Medical Technician level. She is certified as an Emergency Medical Technician through the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services. Deputy Patterson is a CPR instructor as well. Congratulations to Deputy Megan Patterson on earning this certification.
