Hampton deputies plunge for Special Olympics

Twelve Hampton sheriff’s deputies and staff joined thousands of plungers at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront for the 25th Annual Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics of Virginia. The event surpassed the $1 million mark again. The Hampton Sheriff’s Office collected $3,000.00 for this worthy cause as they joined the crowd of plungers in the frigid waters on February 4. This marks the twelfth consecutive year Hampton deputies have raised funds totally over $20,000.00.
