The Hampton Sheriff’s Office recently hosted its 14th Annual Child ID Festival at Hampton’s Carousel Park. This free, four-hour event drew hundreds of people on a day dedicated to children. Over 170 children were fingerprinted and photographed. 50 deputies volunteered their afternoon to promote child safety and to celebrate a day filled with fun events, games, music and dance. The Easter Bunny and theme characters paraded throughout the event delivering fun and laughter to children and parents in attendance. Sheriff cruisers delivered the sounds of safety with sirens and flashing blue lights. The deputies manned stations providing plenty of popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones.
