Franklin County Sheriff’s Office receives $2,000 donation from Walmart Foundation

Franklin County Walmart store manager Corey Goins presented the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office a check for $2,000 on May 12 from the Walmart Foundation. Major Mike Bowman accepted the funds on behalf of Sheriff Bill Overton. Major Bowman said, “We are thankful to have a long standing partnership with Walmart of Rocky Mount. They have been so generous and we appreciate all they do for our community. These funds will be used in Operation Christmas Tree, as the Office of the Sheriff will help needy families with food, clothing and other items.”
