Hampton deputies volunteered to staff a 10-hour shift at Walmart’s Superstore in Hampton showing their support of the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. Deputies rang the bell while receiving donations for funds the Salvation Army collects each year to aid needy families, seniors and the homeless. Donations also provide Christmas dinners, clothing and toys for families in need. Patrons praised the volunteer efforts of the deputies, who were more than happy to donate to such a worthy cause at the busy shopping outlet.
