Hampton Deputies Plunge for Special Olympics

Hampton Sheriff Deputies braved the frigid sub 40 degree waters at the Virginia Beach oceanfront on February 3rd for the 26th Annual Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics of Virginia. The fundraising event surpassed the $1 Million mark with a total of $1,200.000 collected. The Hampton Sheriff’s Office raised funds throughout the organization and collected an all-time high of $3,905.
The 2018 event marks the thirteenth consecutive year that Hampton Deputies have raised funds for Special Olympics totally $23,905. 22 Hampton Deputies joined thousands of plungers in support of this worthy cause.
