The purpose of this briefing is to provide Chiefs, Sheriffs, Training Academy Directors and Trainers an overview of the findings from the recent Department of Criminal Justice Service’s (DCJS) Entry-Level Law Enforcement Job Task Analysis (JTA). This complex project spanned approximately five months, incorporating the cooperation and participation of more than half of the primary law enforcement agencies in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The on-line survey garnered approximately 83% participation of the 1,233 patrol supervisors and 824 patrol officers invited to complete the online survey. In other words, we heard from 1,711 officers!
Do not miss this opportunity to learn first-hand about the results of the JTA. For those unable to attend, a Power Point presentation will be available on the DCJS website and future presentations are planned.
