The Hampton Sheriff’s Office sponsored its 15th Annual Child ID Festival at scenic Carousel Park. The four hour event drew hundreds of peopleon a day dedicated to child safety. The event was completely free and open to the public. Over 45 Sheriff deputies volunteered their afternoon to
promote child safety. Over 250 children were fingerprinted and photographed while deputies manned several stations where children jumped on the Moon Walk and snacked on snow cones, popcorn and ate cotton candy, all compliments of the Sheriff’s Office. Home Depot supplied building kits for dozens of children to hammer and create their own toys.
