Virginia Sheriffs’ Association Changes Conference Plans to Accommodate Hurricane Florence

The latest information from the National Hurricane Center has Tropical Storm Florence becoming a Hurricane and moving inland sometime on Thursday.

The Virginia Sheriffs’ Association is now planning an opening reception for Tuesday, the election of officers on Wednesday morning and sheriff’s night on Wednesday night, instead of Thursday night.  The board meeting will now be Wednesday after the program ends.  The hotel will not penalize for canceling Thursday night’s room, if necessary.

VSA will continue to monitor the situation and adjust the program accordingly.  Below is the current projection for the storm.
