WOODMEN LIFE AWARDS FRANKLIN COUNTY DEPUTY
On Tuesday, September 11th,2018, Lisa Landes with Woodmen Life came to FCSO to make a Community Hero Award. Sgt. Greg Pigg was chosen for his involvement in the Office of the Sheriff’s Special Olympics Bass Fishing Tournament each year. Landes said Woodmen Life wishes to honor special community people that have a spirit of giving. Congratulations Sgt. Greg Pigg!
FRANKLIN COUNTY INVESTIGATORS GIVE TALK AT GEREAU CENTER
On Friday, September 7th,2018, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division visited the Gereau Center in Rocky Mount and spoke with students about the forensics side of police work. Sgt. J. P. Nolen (pictured) and Inv. Steve McFarling spoke to around 100 students on evidence collection and how science assists law enforcement in solving crimes. Special thanks to Principal Whorley for inviting us to speak with these fantastic students.
