NW3C President/CEO Glen B. Gainer, III presented the NW3C Lifetime Achievement Award to Bedford County Sheriff Michael Brown on behalf of the NW3C Board of Directors at the NW3C Board Meeting at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia on October 18, 2018.

The NW3C Lifetime Achievement Award was created to recognize an extraordinary individual who set a high standard in supporting state and local law enforcement throughout their career.

This award is given to a person who through a lifetime of support and commitment has demonstrated:

1. outstanding contributions to the advancement and betterment of law enforcement at the local, state and national level;

2. initiative and leadership in supporting law enforcement by promoting awareness & education, pursuing ground-breaking activities to benefits law enforcement, and/or developing innovative programs that significantly enhance law enforcement;

3. a lifelong commitment to supporting law enforcement; and

4. the true spirit of NW3C’s mission, which is to provide a nationwide support system for law enforcement and regulatory agencies involved in the prevention, investigation, and prosecution of economic and high-tech crime.

The NW3C Board of Directors dedicated the NW3C Lifetime Achievement Award in honor of Sheriff Brown and renamed it the Sheriff Michael J. Brown Lifetime Achievement Award.
