MARY HODGES RETIRES FROM FCSO

Recently, Mary Hodges retired from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office after 25 years of service. Ms. Hodges was the Clerical Supervisor of our Civil Process and Warrant Division. A ceremony was held in her honor where Sheriff Overton presented her with a plaque commemorating her service. Family, friends and many co-workers were present to help Mary celebrate. Congratulations and now on to crafting!

NEW DEPUTY SWORN IN AT SHERIFF’S OFFICE

A new deputy was sworn in at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on October 19, 2018. Deputy Randall Patterson was sworn in as a patrol deputy having recently completed training at the Cardinal Criminal Justice Academy in Salem, VA. Circuit Court Judge Clyde H. Perdue administered the oath of office. Congratulations Deputy Randall Patterson.

FRANKLIN COUNTY DEPUTIES GRADUATE ACADEMY

Recently, two Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputies graduated from the Cardinal Criminal Justice Academy in Salem, VA. Graduating were Lonnie Young (63rd Entry Level Jail/Court Services Class) and Randall Patterson (69thEntry Level Law Enforcement Class). Great job men!

DEPUTY STOPS BY OPEN HOUSE

The Cottage Gate (84 Westlake Road, Suite 113, Hardy, VA) held their Christmas Open House last weekend. Stopping by was Santa Claus, Deputy Ryan King and Allen Trolley (owner/operator) to kick-off the festivities. Deputy King was on hand to let Mr. Trolley know the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is always ready to provide patrol and safety training to all businesses in our county.
