The Hampton Sheriff’s Office recently celebrated promotional ranks, years of service, outstanding performance and retirement during a promotion ceremony in the City Hall Chambers. It was standing room only as six Deputies were recognized for promotions, fifteen for extended years of service (10 plus), eight recognized for their recent retirement and six recognized for outstanding accomplishments. Two civilians were awarded the Citizen’s Award and the Public Service Award.  Sheriff B.J. Roberts congratulated his staff for their achievements and dedication. The ceremony’s keynote speaker was Dr. Allan Terry Morris from the NASA Langley Research Center. Sheriff Roberts and three Deputies were recognized for 25 years of service.
