Newport News Officer Gives Life During Traffic Stop

A Newport News Police Officer gave her life yesterday evening while on duty during a traffic stop. According to the Department, it seems that the driver at some point sped up during the traffic stop, and the officer was dragged and suffered multiple injuries. The officer, who has not been identified, was taken to a local hospital and later died.
