The Voice of Virginia’s Sheriffs & Deputies

Shannon Dion, Director, Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), has circulated a memo regarding the DCJS Attack Program’s “Whole Community Approach,” which is 100% focused on teaching civilians. DCJS has three instructors on staff ready to provide your communities with the confidence to get out of harm’s way should the unthinkable happen. While DCJS certainly prefers in-person classes, the agency has accommodated the pandemic by transitioning to a virtual 2-hour platform that includes real-time instruction. DCJS hopes to resume in-person classes in July 2022.

Please review Director Dion’s request to promote these classes by sharing with your contacts to save lives.
