~Gloucester Sheriff’s Deputy J. Holt’s sheer determination proves life saving ~
Richmond, VA – The Virginia Sheriffs’ Association (VSA) applauds Gloucester Sheriff’s Deputy J. Holt for his heroism Friday, May 7, 2021. In response to call of a woman trapped in her overturned vehicle, Deputy Holt lifted the vehicle off the woman. The newly released body camera video by the Gloucester Sheriff’s Office shows the amazing feat.
“Through sheer will and determination due to fearing the female may succumb to her circumstance in front of her panic-stricken child, Deputy J. Holt took quick action and was able to physically lift the vehicle up enough for the driver to maneuver her head out to safety,” the sheriff’s office said.
Gloucester Sheriff Darrell Warren added, “We are very proud of his heroic actions during this incident; we are glad that he is a member of our team.”
