The Virginia Sheriff’s’ Association expresses deepest condolences to the Bridgewater community and to the families of Campus Police Officer John Painter and Campus Safety Officer J. J. Jefferson.
This is a sad day for Virginia and for Virginia’s law enforcement community, losing two members of the law enforcement family. We are grateful for the efforts of our law enforcement that a suspect was taken into custody a short time later.
