VSA Recognizes National Correctional Officers’ Week

Virginia Sheriffs’ Association recognizes May 1-7 as National Correctional Officers’ Week.  “The important work of correctional Officers often does not receive the recognition from the public it deserves”, former President Ronald Reagan said when he established this week on May 5, 1984. VSA would like to acknowledge and thank the men and women who work in jails across the Commonwealth, many of which are administered by sheriffs’ offices.
