In the aftermath of recent severe flooding in Buchanan County, many sheriff’s offices and community members have asked how assistance can be provided to the recovery efforts. The Buchanan County community is grateful for all support. VDEM has provided the below information for both physical and monetary support, noting that monetary donations are being accepted and are actually preferred. There have been a lot of physical donations that have poured into the county; these can sometimes be a challenge to manage.
Physical Donations: Buchanan County is collecting donations at the Twin Valley Elementary School 9017 Riverside Dr. Oakwood, VA 24631.
