The Virginia Sheriffs’ Association wishes to express its deepest sympathy and condolences to Communications Officer Taylor Hayden’s family, friends and the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office upon the death of Officer Hayden who passed away on May 29, 2023. Taylor was a volunteer with the Fairfields Volunteer Fire Department, a former employee of Newsome’s Restaurant, and a Communications Officer for the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office. His ultimate dream was to become a Professional Firefighter. There will be a Mass in Taylor’s honor at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church located at 413 Timothy Lane, Tappahannock, Virginia, on June 9, 2023, at 11am. There will also be a Celebration of Taylor’s life at the Fairfields Volunteer Fire Department, 119 Main Street, Reedville, Virginia, on June 10, 2023, from 1pm to 5pm.
