On September 11, 2024, the Charles City County Sheriff’s Office and the family of Sgt. Floyd H. Miles, Jr. gathered at the Washington Nationals game to honor his memory. During the Fallen Hero’s Tribute, Sgt. Miles and other local first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice were recognized. A special seat plaque was also dedicated in Sgt. Miles’ honor.
