The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office Inmate Workforce Crews have completed numerous projects in every district of the county in the past week, including picking up leaves, painting parking lot spaces, and cleaning up litter along community roads. In Matoaca, they applied mulch and cleared leaves. In Bermuda, Midlothian and Clover Hill, they removed trash and debris. In Dale, they cleared leaves and brush and painted a parking lot.
These initiatives not only beautify and maintain shared spaces but also provide inmates with valuable skills, a sense of purpose, and an opportunity to give back to society. By participating in these projects, inmate crew members gain hands-on experience while creating pathways to successful reintegration into the community after incarceration.
