On May 8, Chesterfield resident David Vaught, in partnership with the Chesterfield Moose Lodge #1980, hosted the sixth annual Public Safety Appreciation Luncheon at the Chesterfield County Jail. Featuring a delicious spread from Archer’s BBQ, the lunch honored all public safety members for their service and dedication. The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office extends sincere thanks to David Vaught and the Moose Lodge for their continued generosity and support.
The Sheriff’s Office also celebrated National Nurses Week by recognizing the dedication and hard work of the Corrections Bureau medical team. Often working behind the scenes, these professionals provide critical care to those in custody. The observance of Nurses Week honors the legacy of Florence Nightingale, “The Lady with the Lamp,” whose commitment to hygiene and patient care during the Crimean War laid the foundation for modern nursing. Chesterfield proudly salutes the contributions of its nursing staff and nurses everywhere.
