Danville City Sheriff Mike Mondul is pleased to report that the Danville City Jail achieved 100% compliance during a recent audit. The audit spanned a time period of three years and was based on the annual life, health, and safety standards established by the Virginia Board of Corrections.
“Understandably, I am very proud of the supervisors and staff in the jail for their efforts to make this achievement possible,” said Sheriff Mondul. “Managing 128 standards for the three-year audit for a jail built in the 1970’s is a testament to the commitment to excellence by the Deputies who are assigned to the jail. I appreciate and applaud the efforts of all of the men and women who worked together to maintain a top-notch facility.”
NOTE: Sheriff Mondul granted an additional holiday to all staff to reward their good work.
