Petersburg Sheriff Vanessa Crawford is honored to nominate Deputy DeCarla Evans as the Employee of the Month for the Petersburg Sheriff’s Office. Since joining the team on July 5, 2022, Deputy Evans has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance, hard work, and unwavering dedication. Her positive attitude and commitment have significantly impacted the Petersburg Sheriff’s Office and our collective achievements. Deputy Evans serves in the Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court, where she is always ready and lending a helping hand to both the public and her fellow deputies.
In her role as Chief Bailiff, she has not only performed her duties with excellence but has also taken on additional responsibilities, exemplifying a very high standard of leadership and work ethic. Moreover, as the D.A.R.E. Deputy, Deputy Evans actively engages with the youth in our community, promoting positive interactions and ensuring the safety and well-being of our children. Her involvement with the Sheriff’s Re-entry Program further showcases her dedication to improving lives and supporting those in need. Deputy Evans is an invaluable member of our team.
