Mathews County, VA — In the early morning hours of Thursday, August 13, 2025, the Mathews County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Tri-Rivers Drug Task Force and the Virginia State Police Tactical Team, executed a search warrant in the 7000 block of Buckley Hall Road.As a result of the operation, law enforcement officers seized a significant quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as a stolen vehicle. Two individuals were taken into custody at the residence:

Juan Francisco Aguirre was charged with:

§ 18.2-248 – Possession with the intent to distribute a scheduled I or II substance.

Payton Pittman was charged with:

§ 18.2-108 – Receiving stolen goods and served an outstanding capias for failure to comply with pre-trial services.

Both individuals were held without bond at the Middle Peninsula Regional Security Center. Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
