On October 27, 2025, the Virginia House of Delegates recognized two distinguished leaders in Virginia law enforcement: Sheriff Dr. Antionette V. Irving of the City of Richmond, President of the Virginia Sheriffs’ Association (VSA), and Sheriff Alisa Gregory of Henrico County, President of the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute (VSI).
Delegate Michael Jones (Richmond) introduced Sheriff Irving, commending her leadership of one of the Commonwealth’s largest sheriff’s offices with more than 450 employees and her service as president of the statewide organization representing all Virginia sheriffs, deputies, and support personnel.
Delegate Delores L. McQuinn (Henrico) introduced Sheriff Gregory, noting her strong commitment to public service and professional excellence as president of the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute.
Together, Sheriffs Irving and Gregory reflect the professionalism, diversity, and strength of Virginia’s sheriffs statewide and the shared mission of protecting communities with integrity, compassion, and leadership.
