The Richmond City Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) partnered with a local judge to support challenged youth through an initiative with the Broken Men Foundation. The Broken Men Foundation’s program is committed to helping boys and young men grow into confident, responsible leaders in their communities. Through mentorship, guidance, and engagement, the mentors work to be positive role models and uplift young men and support their journey into manhood.
Through this collaboration, participants and their families engaged in the motivational and thought-provoking speaking and teachings of Sheriff Dr. Antionette V. Irving and the Honorable Judge David M. Hicks. The theme was “I am better than or with My People” – you choose.
Leaders from all three groups emphasized that lasting change happens when the justice system and community organizations work together—not just to correct behavior, but to invest in potential.
