The Arlington County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that Ms. Rosslyn Howard was honored with the Arlington Chamber of Commerce Meritorious Service Award in recognition of her more than 30 years of dedicated service to Arlington County public safety. Ms. Howard began her career with the Sheriff’s Office as a Data Entry Specialist in the Civil Process/Warrants Section before being selected to serve as the office’s Local Inmate Data System (LIDS) Specialist. In this critical role, she ensures compliance with state reporting requirements and supports reimbursement processes through the Virginia Compensation Board.
Throughout her distinguished career, Ms. Howard has become a trusted subject matter expert in inmate records and case management. Her extensive knowledge of LIDS procedures, reporting standards, and state compliance requirements has been instrumental to the successful operation of the Arlington County Detention Facility’s Records Section. She has also played a key role in training employees in the Records, Booking and Processing Sections and is widely recognized for her ability to resolve complex data and records management issues.
