Across Virginia, sheriffs’ offices joined neighbors and community partners for National Night Out, coming together at events across the Commonwealth to strengthen relationships and connect with the communities they serve.
From large countywide celebrations to smaller neighborhood gatherings, deputies, staff and residents gathered for cookouts, games, demonstrations and family activities. Severe weather and flooding affected events in many parts of Virginia, forcing some cancellations and changes, while other communities were able to carry on despite the rain.
Each celebration had its own local flavor, but all shared the same purpose: building stronger relationships and safer, more connected communities.
Take a look at National Night Out across Virginia and see how sheriffs’ offices celebrated in their communities.
