The Surry County Sheriff’s Office invites fellow sheriff’s offices and law enforcement agencies to participate in its 9th Annual Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Sheriff’s Office.
Participating agencies are encouraged to bring a vehicle, decorate a trunk, and distribute candy or other treats to children attending the event. Trunk or Treat provides an opportunity for law enforcement agencies to connect with children and families in a positive, welcoming environment while strengthening relationships within the community.
Agencies interested in participating should contact the Surry County Sheriff’s Office at 757-294-5096 by Monday, October 26, at 4:30pm to reserve a trunk space.
The Sheriff’s Office is also accepting donations of juice pouches or boxes, individually wrapped candy, and monetary contributions to support the event. Donations may be dropped off at the Surry County Sheriff’s Office Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm and must be received by Wednesday, October 28.
