E911 Communications Supervisor Retires
Long time dispatcher and our E911 Communications Supervisor, CW Thomas retired recently. Working as a dispatcher, first in Roanoke County, Thomas came to us in March of 1978 and retired January 31, 2018. He was promoted to E911 Communications Supervisor in 2012. A celebration for CW was held on 1/31 and many past and present dispatchers were able to attend. At the ceremony, Sheriff Bill Overton stated, “When I was elected my first term, I knew who I wanted my E911 Supervisor to be. CW Thomas has been a great asset to this office and to the residents of Franklin County. We join together with fellow workers, both past and present, family and friends here today to say, thank you for a job well done and congratulations on your retirement.”
