The Richmond City Sheriff’s Office is hosting a community blood drive in partnership with Virginia Blood Services on Thursday, August 16 from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Richmond City Sheriff’s Office located at 1701 Fairfield Way, Richmond Virginia.

Statistics according to the Virginia Blood Services states that shortages of all blood types occur during the winter and summer seasons. It is our goal at the Richmond City Sheriff’s Office to partner with the community to make a difference. Just one donation of blood from participants can help and impact the lives of three patients.

To sign up today, please visit https://donateblood.vablood.org or call (804) 646-0128. Participants should prepare for their donation by eating well, staying hydrated and bringing a form of identification. The blood drive will take place in the Virginia Blood Services’ Bloodmobile located in the parking lot of thenRichmond City Justice Center.
