Flag Raising Event in Honor of Those in Public Safety and the Military

The Chesterfield Sheriff’s Office, along with the Chesterfield Police Department and Chesterfield Fire Department, is honored to be part of a very special event on Sunday, November 18th.  This event is free and open to the public!

To show his support of those who serve in public safety and the military, Mr. Richard Smith, of RJ Smith Companies, will be unveiling the largest flag pole and flag ever set up in Virginia.  The flag pole stands 210 feet tall, and the flag measures 40 feet by 76 feet and includes 50 stars that are each 3 feet wide. (It will be the 5th largest flag pole and flag ever in the entire United States).

There will be entertainment, bounce houses, face painting, and a USAF flyover. Mr. Smith would like everyone in Public Safety to know they and their families are all welcome.  Please join us at 1800 Coxendale Rd, Chester, VA 23836.  More information may be found on the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
