Richmond – The VSA is deeply saddened by the death of U. S. Representative Donald McEachin (D-VA). Congressman McEachin was a shining example of public service, having served in the Virginia General Assembly and then on to the U. S. House of Representatives. Congressman McEachin was known to the VSA as a tireless advocate for his constituents and his sheriffs.
“Working with Don was always a pleasure. It immediately became clear that he would never sacrifice principle for expediency in his quest for justice. He will be sorely missed,” said John W. Jones, Executive Director of the Virginia Sheriffs’ Association.
The VSA offers its deepest condolences to Congressman McEachin’s family and friends.
