New Kent County Sheriff’s Office was the recipient of the 2025 Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police (VACP) Law Enforcement Roadway Safety Champion Award for Occupant Protection. This award is given to the agency that has shown an outstanding commitment to education, awareness, and enforcement of child passenger safety and safety belt laws. Sheriff Lee Bailey and SRO Deputy Andrew Wilson accepted the award.
